Keegan room 3

Friday we went for Keegan's two month check up. He is looking great and is huge as we already knew. He is weighing in at a whopping 13 pound 12 ounces. Then his head circumstance is 16 1/8. Then his length was where he really shined, he was 25 1/2 inches long!! No wondering he is already wearing a lot of 6 months clothes. Doctor Bill has a student with him right now and she was charting his measurements and Sean jokingly asked if he was if he was off the charts. He was, she was stunned and said I am new let me make sure this is right. It was he was over the 100th percentile. His weight was on the high average side and his head circumference was in the very high percentile. Then we had shots. He took them like the little rockstar that he is! They were terrible for mommy but he only cried a little. I was also really worried about what the rest of our day would be like since sometimes they cause irritability. He was once again amazing and was only a tinny bit more fussy than normal so mommy gave him lots and lots of extra love and snuggle time. He took a two and half hour nap on my chest and it was heavenly. There were things to be done but I just sat and enjoyed my beautiful boy. I love being a mommy.

Waiting for Doctor Bill to come in and check us.

Early morning snuggle

Is there anything better than a Saturday morning snuggle session? I think not. This morning we all woke up around 7:30, after Keegan ate we all just snuggled back in for some Saturday snuggle. We all talked and enjoyed the ability to have a slow start to our busy weekend. Keegan is so "talkative" in the morning time and it makes not sleeping in so much better. When you hear those sweet ohhh's and chooo's it makes my heart melt and I could stay up and listen to him talk forever. After a while the boys went back to sleep cuddling and I got out my new computer to play with. My fabo hubs gave me my birthday present early so I could go ahead and have it. It was a new MacBook! I have had my old Mac for about 5 or 6 years and it was done. It would still work, it was just as slow as Christmas, but how can you complain after having it that long. Now that Keegan is here I am constantly taking photos and trying to learn how to really take photos as well as doing a little bit of editing to them. I needed something that could hold lots of pictures and not take an hour to turn on.

Some of the great faces we get to see early in the morning!
cuddling with his daddy, ignore all the burp clothes he spits up a lot

Even Chloe too part in the family cuddle time after sleeping under the bed all night.

How did that happen...

I have a two month old. It's seems crazy that he is already two whole months old! Then it also seems like we have had him forever. I already can not imagine life without him. He consumes me. I love him more than I could ever imagine. I thought I would make a list of some of Keegan's favorite things right now: his paci which we affectionally call "puppy", his skip hot mirror, his changing pad (oddly enough he could lay there for hours talking and playing), his little giraffe blanket and the story "I Love You Through and Through".

These are some photos from our little photo session. It's hard to take photos of a two month old by yourself. He is so cute anything would be cute, but I may be a little biased.

We are headed to the doctor tomorrow for the dreaded two month apoitment where he will be getting shots. Hopefully it will not be as bad as what I am imagining.

Should I?

I am thinking of coming back to the blogging world. My life has totally changed since the last time I was here. I am now a mommy to the most beautiful baby boy that you have ever seen, as well as a stay at home mommy. I am loving every minute of it. Yes, it is hard at times but I would not trade it for a minute. It does not get better than him sleeping on my chest as I write this. If someone would have told me that being a stay at home mom was going to be harder than being a special needs preschool teacher to 15 children I would have laughed. Oh how I was wrong this is more than a full time job, you put in more than 40 hours a week you have to be on 24 hours a day. It is long days but the most rewarding thing I could ever imagine. Being a mommy is my calling from God. I want to be the best mommy I can be for him. So I am going to start the chronicles of his life. There will be lots of pictures of my beautiful baby boy as well as my path to trying to get back in shape and juggling life as a new mom. I am having fun and laughing at myself as I try to manage to do it all. I want to be super mom but sometimes even super mom has a messy house, because when all Keegan wants to do is cuddle and sleep in my arms that okay with me because the dirty house will wait but these are the moments I live for. So here goes, I am entering the world of a mom who blogs things should be interesting. I will leave you with a picture of my baby burrito from last night. Enjoy

Happy Anniversary Weekend

Friday morning we set out on our first real vacation just the two of us in a long time. We go places all the time but they are usually tacked on the the end of business trip or with friends and family. It was fun to set off just the two of us well three actually Keegan was kicking like crazy all weekend. It was great to spend so much time with my hubs just the two of us. Life gets so crazy and he travels all the time and I work and come home exhausted that sometimes quality time just does not happen. So that's what we had, a long weekend of quality time.
On our way to Savannah we decided to stop by ikea in Atlanta because we do not often find our way over and there was a light I knew I wanted for the nursery. We ended up getting all of the lighting, floor lamp, table lamp and the original pendant lamp. It was all a great price and just what I was looking for. Since I found out that I was pregnant had a boys room planned out. Guess it was my subconscious knowing it was a boy because I was clueless on a girl! After our detour we were back on the road. We got to savannah around 5:30 got checked in and hit River Street.

There was so much to take in and it was all so very old. The rivers edge was so pretty and all the people were enjoying themselves. It was odd because they do not have an open container law so everyone walks around with a drink. There are only a million places to eat. We choose The Cotton Exchange the first night by recommendation of an old friend. It was very yummy with shrimp and grits :) this southern girl loves shrimp and grits

After dinner we made a pit stop at a yummy candy store and I got a caramel apple one of my only craving while I have been pregnant.

We did a little shopping mostly just looking at all the people an taking it all in. We ended up turning in early after a long day of driving. It was a great first day. Day two coming once we are home and I have all the pictures!

Introducing Mr. Keegan Keeley

Yesterday morning we had an ultrasound. I was so excited but also nervous. I could not wait to see my little one but was also nervous to see him after such a long time. I wanted him to be perfect and healthy. After having to wait for a while we were finally called back. Then the ultrasound lady started but had the screen turned towards her so she could do all the official business first taking measurements and what not. Then she turned the screen and there was our sweet angle. I was already so in love then I saw his face and he is beautiful. I started crying while laying there hold Seans hand seeing our sweet angles face for the first time. Oh I have never felt such joy. Then came hearing his heart beat and to me that is just so magical. God is truly amazing. After seeing his face it was time to find out gender. After a little shaking to get him moving he let us know that he was all boy and we were just thrilled we honestly did not care one way or another. A boy is great and I thought oh I will have a mamas boy :). I have to say this was one the most exciting days of my life this far. After we left the doctor we grabbed some breakfast to kill time before the shops opened. I was dying to buy some sweet blue things :). We did buy some super cute things but with our big trip to Savannah I did not go too crazy just two outfits and a burp cloth with his initial on it. I am so in love with this little angel growing inside of me.

Heaven on earth

Hello from the beach! Actually laying on the beach now soaking in the last little bit of sun before time to go home. It has been a great trip full of good fun friends and relaxation. Just what the doctor ordered! Sean completed his ride yesterday of 75 miles and I was beyond proud of him for this accomplishment. It was so fun to stand at the finish line cheering him in!
My mom and I spent the day on the beach with my Aunt Cindy we went to eat at the yummy Shrimp Basket. I love the beach so much just wish I could bring my own bed down because I did not sleep but I thankfully could just spend my day relaxing away.

I will post race pictures once I get home and put them on my computer.
Tomorrow we have a doctors appointment and we are going to beg to see if we could do an ultrasound. Hopefully he will say yes and we will get to find out the sex of our little bundle of joy!!! So excited I can't wait!
